Position Summary

The Regional Risk Mitigation Manager provides strategic risk mitigation support tailored to each client’s specific needs, based on thorough risk assessments. The role emphasizes strong customer service, requiring in-person or virtual client visits to review loss history, suggest preventive measures, and provide actionable guidance. This position is key in reducing client risk through program evaluation, training initiatives, and the delivery of safety-focused resources and literature. This is a remote role requiring the ability to travel up to 35% of the time. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze trends and develop strategies to control injury-related losses.
  • Review incidents and hazards to support safety improvements across client operations.
  • Provide proactive customer service to clients, including participation in sales-related calls when required.
  • Analyze injury data, conduct root cause evaluations, and prioritize mitigation plans.
  • Supply clients with tools (templates, guides, literature) to help them implement or enhance safety policies and loss control programs.
  • Assist with the development of client training programs related to workplace safety and risk mitigation.
  • Recommend corrective actions or additional precautions for clients with high injury frequency or severity.
  • Share best practices and “lessons learned” across internal teams and with clients.
  • Collaborate with Workers' Compensation Claims Analysts to implement light-duty or transitional duty return-to-work programs.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Bachelor's in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous experience in a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations is a plus.
  • Intermediate understanding of OSHA regulations and ability to advise on compliance.
  • Ability to write and maintain accurate Risk Reviews and documentation of client engagements.
  • Experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 35% of the time
  • Must be detail-oriented and proactive in follow-up and communication.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The role requires regular communication and occasional travel to support the distributed workforce. The role will primarily function indoors but may involve working in varying temperatures or outdoor environments as needed.
